I had a real shock when I started working in the UX field. I heard repeatedly that it was necessary to meet the needs of the customers rather than the needs of the users for the realization of a Web platform. Wow minute! UX is USER experience. And you, you talk to me about money, transactions and mercantilism as big as your arm?
Well yes.
Let’s talk profitability
Not knowing how to talk about money, numbers and return on investment, I sincerely believe that this is what makes the user experience wrongly seem like a non-essential expertise , even a “luxury” in the eyes of many decision-makers. . And we, as workers in this specialty, unfortunately spend a lot of time breaking down barriers and educating about our function. But let’s be honest: We sometimes forget that the UX and UI must be useful and have added value for the customer.
In fact, it is the profitability of the UX and its Return on Investment (ROI) that encourage customers to call on us again to invest in a project.
Did you know that every dollar invested in UI earns you from $2 to $100 in return on investment?
This is how I came up with the idea of writing a series of articles on UX in the service of online sales . And I’m not just talking about e- commerce here, because more broadly, I consider multiple virtual interactions with your customer to be a form of “online selling” of your product or organization as well.
